a day trip to Bournemouth

June 16, 2016

Bournemouth, we headed off early to collect our last piece of machinery needed for Sam to create his beautiful horses.

We left Cornwall at 9am, having discussed with the tree surgeons what was required in the garden before we left. The journey to Bournemouth took over 4 hours. Loading the  planer thicknesser took some great effort, I assisted after I had walked the dogs; yes the dogs had to come in the van as it was too long a day for them to stay at home. Both dogs have become great travellers as with the thousands of miles moving, with the driving up and down the country three times!

Lunch was at a service station, and traffic was very heavy. We arrived at Axminster Tools just before 5pm, just in time for Sam to spend some of the vouchers he was given when he left The Rocking Horse Shop.

It was a grand day out; tomorrow we will empty the van, but after 9.5 hours round trip, it is time to close the day and make a note not to use the A35 until it is improved.
